Valentine's Day might be the "official" holiday which reminds us of love, but Christmas is where we get a much clearer picture of what real love looks like. Love isn't roses or a box of chocolates. It really isn't even Santa or lights or family traditions. "In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he has loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins" (1 John 4:10). We'll study 1 John 4:7-12 and look to the manger and the cross to deepen our understanding and affection for the love of God.
