Luke 15:1-32
The Lost

As we continue our study of the parables, we will look at Luke 15:1-32. In this chapter, Jesus uses three different parables to speak about the same concept. He speaks of a lost sheep, a lost coin, and a lost son. In all of these parables, there is intent looking for the thing that is lost and rejoicing when it is found. Jesus was using these parables to explain how people are lost and need to repent. Yet, since he was speaking to the Pharisees, his point was a challenge to their typical way of thinking about salvation and entrance into the kingdom of God. Listen to learn about The Lost parables.
