Matthew 20:1-16
The Vineyard Workers

We will look at the parable of the Workers in the Vineyard (Matthew 20:1-16). It is a description of the grace of God and our tendency to view life according to justice and merit. In order to understand this passage rightly, we must know that Jesus is speaking to his disciples after the exchange with the man known as the Rich Young Ruler. So he is reorienting the way that the disciples view grace, merit, and justice. Listen as we explore Jesus' teaching in this parable.

Notes:
1) God's Grace Confounds Our Sense of Merit
2) God's Grace Obliterates Our Natural Expectations
