Joshua 8:1–35
Reoriented

In Joshua 8:1-35, we see things turn around for the nation of Israel after they dealt with the sin that was within their camp.  The Lord instructs his people to attack Ai a second time and reminds them that he had given Ai and the land into their hand.  After Ai is defeated, the king of Ai is shown to be accursed by hanging on a tree, which is what Jesus endured in order to secure our salvation (Galatians 3:13).  The passage resolves with another renewal of God's covenant with his people and the responsibilities that the covenant requires from God's people. Join us on Sunday as we discover what the journey of God's people into the Promised Land has to teach us today.
