Joshua 10:1–43
God of All Creation

In Joshua 10:1-15, Israel came to the defense of their newest ally, Gibeon.  Even though they were tricked into making the vow, they honored it for the sake of the Lord's name.  As they fought for Gibeon, God reminded them of his promised protection. They witnessed God's power and help as he commanded nature on their behalf.  Yet, the passage makes special focus on Joshua's prayer, which moved God to miraculously alter the normal course of the sun and the moon.  How does all of this help us move forward in faith and confidence?
