Sin is offensive - it is insulting, ugly, and full of horror. There are many ways we try to tame it down and make it less appalling than it really is. In Ezekiel 16, we see Israel's sin likened to the acts of an unfaithful bride. There is no filter for this analogy that God gives to them. The Lord pulls no punches when calling out sin, and we also need to hear the ugliness of our sin and run to our faithful Groom.
