On Good Friday, we remember the death of Jesus for the salvation of his people. If you are in Christ, you know that he has paid for all your sin with his precious blood. Forgiveness of sin is now ours, and we are at peace with God. Yet, it is the resurrection that guarantees us new life in Christ. He has conquered the grave and his resurrection power is at work in us who believe. Ezekiel 37 (the Valley of Dry Bones) points us to the truth that salvation is not merely a little bit of self-improvement. It is us being raised from the dead and made alive through the power of God.
