Learn About Our Story

Grace Point began as a satellite campus of Cornerstone Presbyterian Church in Irmo. Seeing the growth of the Dutch Fork area and the population north of I-26, Cornerstone sought to be "one church in two locations."

September 2004: Our first service was held at Dutch Fork High School on September 26, 2004, and Dr. Rick Perrin preached at both locations for more than four years until he followed God's call to New Jersey in January 2009.

April 2009: Grace Point was officially chartered as a new church, and we elected elders and deacons. During the formation of the church, a Pastoral Search Team began diligently looking for our first pastor. God led that team to Keith Kneeshaw, who was called by the congregation and began preaching in August of 2010.

December 2012: God opened the door for a more permanent location on Western Lane. We worshiped there until March of 2020 coronavirus halted large public gatherings.

March 2020: During the pandemic, construction on the building at our current location was completed. We moved into the building and staff began working in the offices when lockdown was over.

June 2020: We held our first in-person worship service on June 7th in the parking lot.  June 28th marked the first worship gathering inside the new building.

December 2023: Plans to expand our current building to accomodate our growth were rolled out and our Building Expansion Campaign began.
