Genesis 1:1–31, Isaiah 40:21–31

In order to understand how God intended us to live in this world, we must understand how it all began. "In beginning God created the heavens and the earth" (Genesis 1:1). In addition to being the first sentence of the Bible, it is foundational to our very existence. God made everything, including us. Our life comes from him, and our life depends on him. Isaiah 40:21-31 develops some of the implications of God as our creator and sustainer. Modern thought denies that God created the world, but what is lost when people deny this truth? Learn more about creation in this sermon.
