In this world, God's people feel like strangers. By and large, the world does not live in submission to God so believers feel that they don't belong here. In some way, believers have learned a new language and belong to a new community, and that is why this passage describes God's people as "sojourners and exiles". Yet, we are called to live for the glory of God in the midst of that lack of belonging.
