In this sermon, we will continue our study of various scenes leading up to the crucifixion. We will look at Peter's Denial of Jesus from Mark 14:66-72. Since Peter is most likely one of the main sources of Mark's writing, it is very interesting to study this passage's perspective on his denial. How could Peter declare allegiance to Jesus and then deny him three times only hours later? Is there anything to learn from Peter's fear of saying he knew Jesus? We know that after Jesus' resurrection he restored Peter (John 21:15-22) so we know that denial is not the end of the story.
