Advent: Joy

We will continue our sermons series on Advent by turning to Luke 2:10-11 and Isaiah 35:1-10. The theme this week of Advent is joy. When Jesus was born, the angel brought "good news of great joy" to the shepherds outside of Bethlehem. The baby that was born was our Savior, Messiah, and Lord, and his arrival into human history began the fulfillment of the promise to God's people. As Isaiah 35:10 states, "the ransomed of the LORD shall return and come to Zion with singing; everlasting joy shall be upon their heads; they shall obtain gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away." Follow along as we explore the reasons for us to be filled with joy this Christmas.

Notes:
1) Rejoice! We have seen and will see.
2) Rejoice! Your God has come and will come.
3) Rejoice! Your God has restored and will restore.
4) Rejoice! We will rejoice for all eternity.
