Galatians 5:1-15
Stand Firm in Freedom
Freedom is a prized virtue in our American society. Many have fought and even died for political and physical freedom. We enjoy our freedom of choice, freedom to vote, freedom to live the kind of life that we want to live. In Galatians 5:1-15, Paul is not describing this kind of freedom, but a spiritual freedom, one free from fear of judgment and sin. Yet we are called to the difficult task of "standing firm" in this freedom. What does this mean? How can we do this? How serious of an issue really is this? This Sunday we will explore our freedom and the Spirit's enablement to stand firm in it.
