"Always be prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you" (1 Peter 3:15). If someone asked about your faith, what would you say? What is your hope? In 1 Peter 3:8-22, the context for this question is the suffering of the people. So, it can be rephrased as, "How can you have hope while you are suffering so greatly?" Peter then turns to the suffering of Christ, which brought about our salvation. This leads to his resurrection, ascension, and rule over all things. Join us on Sunday as we see how the work of Jesus is reenacted in our lives as well.
