In today's society, the obsession with self-promotion has reached unprecedented levels, fueled by the rise of social media platforms where visibility is the measure of success. We see this when a player scores a touchdown, and the celebration seems to make him the centerpiece, not the team. Yet, Peter concluded his letter in 1 Peter 5:1-14 by emphasizing humility, which is the complete opposite of today's culture. The basic meaning of humility seems to be "low" or a "reduction."
